Religious School Overview

The Temple Emanu-El Education Journey
• Students begin their learning with foundational Jewish stories and holiday traditions.
• Then they uncover nuances of being Jewish through Jewish values, Jewish History, and the meaning of Jewish adulthood.
• Art projects, Immersive Israeli culture, and the Music that permeates Jewish life, are interspersed into
the program.
• Once students learn how to read Hebrew in 3rd grade, they dive into the prayers of worship services:
the meaning, the choreography, and the content of each prayer.
• Students experience the joy of being Jewish in a warm, welcoming environment as they discover Jewish Traditions and connect with community.

Sundays:
9:30am-12pm PreKindergarten through 6th Grade
10am-11am Confirmation

Wednesdays:
3-3:30pm Optional Hang Out Time
3:30-5pm  3rd Grade and Early Session (4th-6th Grade)
4:30pm-6pm  Late Session (4th-6th Grade) 
6pm-7:30pm (7th and 8th Grade: PreConfirmation) November 6-March 5
