7th Grade

Students typically celebrate becoming a Bar/Bat/B’nai/Brit Mitzvah during seventh grade.

In addition to preparing for the ceremony— one on one tutoring sessions beginning approximately six months prior—
they also attend “Pre-Confirmation” on Wednesdays from 6pm-7:30pm 
November 6th to March 12th.

Pre-Confirmation focuses on becoming a Jewish adult, Judaism around the world, and Comparative religion.

This also includes three family education programs during class time.

Students are also invited to participate in SMARTY events

Throughout the year, students will be provided with Mitzvah opportunities as they decide on their Mitzvah projects for their B’nai Mitzvah.
