Map and Directions

From Boston, via the tunnel:

  1. Follow Route 1A after leaving the tunnel, which will bring you through Revere, and over the General Edward Bridge into Lynn.
     
  2. You will be on the Lynnway. Follow the Lynnway to Nahant/Swampscott/Marblehead sign. Follow the road for 6/10 mile to rotary. Bear left onto Beach Road (Lynn Shore Drive), and follow straight for 4 miles. This becomes Route 129 at the Swampscott Town Line.
     
  3. Remain on Rt. 129. Going through Swampscott you will reach a residential neighborhood with no traffic lights. Eventually, you will read an “Entering Marblehead” sign on your right and, shortly thereafter, a set of traffic lights.
     
  4. These lights are at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Clifton Avenue. Go through the light, and immediately thereafter you will see the “Temple Emanu-El” sign on your left. (Note: the Temple driveway is immediately before a single story group of commercial shops.)

 

Note:  The Temple Office entrance is to the right of the main doors. Please ring the buzzer which on the left side of the entrance.

From Boston, via the Tobin Bridge:

  1. Stay right going over the Tobin, following signs for Route 1A. After a couple of miles, take Route 16 East – Revere/Lynn. At first rotary, bear right for Route 1A North – Lynn. Follow this to Wonderland. At rotary (Bell Circle), continue on Route 1A, along the water. This will turn into the Lynnway.
     
  2. You will be on the Lynnway. Follow the Lynnway to Nahant/Swampscott/Marblehead sign. Follow the road for 6/10 mile to rotary. Bear left onto Beach Road (Lynn Shore Drive), and follow straight for 4 miles. This becomes Route 129 at the Swampscott Town Line.

Via Route 128 North ( I-95 North):

  1. Follow Route 128 North to the exit for Route 114 East. Take 114 East into Marblehead until you reach the Marblehead Fire Department’s building, which will be on your right at a corner. Turn right onto the street at that corner.
     
  2. Almost immediately thereafter you will reach traffic lights at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue, which is Route 129. Turn right onto Atlantic Avenue. This is a residential area, but after a few minutes you will notice a block of commercial shops on your right. The Temple driveway is immediately thereafter, also on the right.
