Jewish Psychology: Pathways to New Possibilities in Your Life’s Journey

Join us as we welcome guest speaker Dr. Maya Avinadav who will discuss how Judaism provides a profoundly textured view of human nature. The emerging field of Jewish Psychology reflects a Jewish understanding of the complexities inherent to the human psyche and offers new approaches and models to achieve a deeper understanding of life’s challenges and struggles within our modern context. Utilizing Jewish sources and concepts, this program will engage its participants to think about their personal, professional, familial, and communal lives, applying Jewish Psychology to offer novel approaches, methods, and models as paths for personal change, growth, and healing.

About our presenter 

Dr. Maya Avinadav is the Founder and Director of Inspired Jewish Learning. Dr. Avinadav has extensive experience teaching, facilitating, training, and consulting. Her work focuses on personal and professional development, improving interpersonal relationships, building resilience, and navigating life transitions in today’s daily challenges.

Dr. Maya Avinadav earned Doctor of Science in Jewish Studies and Master of Science in Human Services Administration from the Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership in Chicago. She also received a Masters in School Counseling from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Bachelors in Special Education and Literature from the Kibbutzim College in Tel Aviv. Dr. Avinadav received her professional training in prevention and coping mechanisms for PTSD from NATAL - Israel Trauma and Resiliency Center in Tel Aviv.
