Temple Emanu-El is leading a trend of progressive synagogues offering a Membership Pledge system and eliminating annual dues. We believe our Membership Pledge aligns more closely with our core Jewish values of inclusiveness and belonging.
How does it work? Instead of sending you a dues statement, we ask each household to pledge an annual financial commitment. We recommend a sustaining amount and know many members will pledge more. Those who are not able to give at the sustaining level may pledge as they are able.
This makes Temple Emanu-El an easy and welcoming choice as a community built on meaningful relationships and life-long engagement without barriers.
