L’shana Tova!

In addition to in-person worship, all services will be streamed on Facebook Live and Zoom.  At this time, masks are required for all those that attend services at the Temple.

Please click the buttons below for more information about High Holydays with Temple Emanu-El.

Dear Temple Emanu-El family,

The High Holyday season begins in a few short weeks, starting with Erev Rosh Hashanah on Monday night, September 6th. You can find a complete list of services and information regarding the High Holydays here. To receive tickets, please remember to renew your Temple membership, if you have not already done so. Click here to make your Membership Pledge.

As we navigate through these challenging times, we pray that our Temple Emanu-El community can continue to be a source of comfort and strength for us all. We will all do our part to help minimize risks to one another and keep our congregational family safe while celebrating our sacred times with pride, joy, and optimism.

In keeping with the advice of our Medical Advisory Committee, to help minimize risk to those who wish to gather for the Holydays in person, and to honor our Jewish value of pikuach nefesh, safeguarding life, we are implementing the following:

  • Masks are required for all who join our services in person, regardless of vaccination status.
  • There will be adjustments to our set up in the Sanctuary. This includes keeping the first two rows of seats empty to maintain distance from the bima.
  • To limit exposure, there will be limited bima honors this year.
  • Services will be shorter in length to limit exposure for in-person worshippers

We ask our community not to gather in the foyer before or after services. There will not be the usual group of “greeters,” as we have in other years. We additionally encourage you to spread out, as possible, throughout the Sanctuary and Social Hall while indoors.

Please be on the look out for a survey in your inbox, letting us know which services you plan to attend in-person and online. This will help us better prepare for the Holydays.

We look forward to gathering with you, in-person or online, as we welcome the Jewish New Year. Our services will combine the familiar with the new, connecting us to our past and to the future as we move forward together as one Temple Emanu-El community.

Additionally, prior to gathering for the High Holydays, we hope you will join us for our “Open House” weekend, beginning with an outdoor service this Friday, August 20th at 6pm, followed by a Religious School “Block Party” on Sunday, August 22nd at 9:30am. Please invite your friends, family, and neighbors.
